Tottenham Hotspur beat Burnley 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur recorded an impressive 2-1 win at home to Burnley on Saturday, with Harry Kane and Erik Lamela scoring for the hosts.

Kane put Spurs ahead when he headed home Nacer Chadli's cross but Ashley Barnes quickly equalised for the visitors.

However, Lamela would go on to score his first league goal for Tottenham (and his fourth strike of the season) 10 minutes before the interval and that was how the score-line remained.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are now sixth in the league while Burnley are 18th.  Sean Dyche's side have impressed in recent weeks but ultimately they did not have enough to beat a Tottenham side who will take confidence from this heading into the busy festive period.
