Last night saw Ajax get absolutely trounced, at home, by Eredivisie rivals Vitesse Arnhem in the KNVB Cup. It was a humiliating and humbling experience for Frank De Boer's men, who had not even rested most of their regular first-team players.
The Dutch giants, who are currently second in the table, simply did not turn up whilst the away side showed some of the top form that saw them battle for the Eredivisie title last term.
And there were of course plenty of Chelsea players involved.
Brazilian right-back Wallace started the game, but came off injured after five minutes. Josh McEachran came on in the 66th minute for Bertrand Traore - the latter of which was sensational.
The talented Burkinabe midfielder Bertrand Traore has been on Chelsea's books for a while now although officially he only signed for the club in January. Prior to that the starlet could not receive a work permit for the club - but a pre-contract agreement was found in October 2013 after the 18-year-old had shone during the club's pre-season campaign.
He has been on loan at Vitesse since January and has recently struggled for his top form. But at the weekend he scored his first goal since October and yesterday he was superb.
He scored two goals in the game as Vitesse won 4-0.
It looks like the Chelsea youngster is starting to show off his exceptional talent.
