Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has insisted that neither Fabian Delph nor Ron Vlaar will be sold in the January transfer window.
While midfielder Delph has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, defender Vlaar is reported to be on the radar of Manchester United.
“They’re not going anywhere,” The Bimingham Mail quotes Lambert as saying. “It’s my say and they’ll not go anywhere in January.”
“Even if anybody came we’d never let them go cheap,” he added. “The way January works is if somebody’s worth something you may as well put another 15 zeros on the end of their valuation. It’s inflated.”
Harry Redknapp opens to Ravel Morrison deal
Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has hinted that he could sign Ravel Morrison on loan in January.
The 21-year-old midfielder is back at West Ham United from his loan spell at Championship outfit Cardiff City.
Morrison does not seem to have a future at the Hammers, and Redknapp appears to be willing to take the former Manchester United prospect on board.
“I like Ravel,” WestLondonSport quotes him as saying. “He’s had problems but he’s not a nasty boy. I didn’t find him to be a nasty type of lad.
“It would be a gamble, but if you’re in the loan business then you’re in the gambling business – you’re going to gamble on someone. I think I might be his last chance.
“Fergie got rid of him, Sam’s got rid of him and they’re top, top, top managers. He’s obviously got to look at himself. But I am open to taking them chances with people. Maybe I’ll do it, I don’t know.”
