Thibaut Courtois could return for Chelsea's clash against Stoke City

Mourinho Press Conference Still

Jose Mourinho gave an injury update on his squad ahead of the trip to Stoke City, and an update on Eden Hazard's contract situation.

Jose Mourinho has said that Thibaut Courtois could return for the Premier League clash against Stoke City on Monday night, but he said he couldn't be absolutely sure whether he will make it.

He said that Kurt Zouma is available for the clash after being stretchered off during the League Cup win over Derby County on Tuesday, whilst Didier Drogba continues to recover from an ankle injury, but should be available for the trip to the Britannia Stadium.

Mourinho was also asked about the contract situation surrounding Eden Hazard, with reports emerging suggesting the Belgian is about to sign a lucrative new deal, and the Chelsea boss seemed confident one of his star men will sign a new deal at the club.

The Chelsea boss also tipped Hazard to become one of the club's greats, but says he needs to win titles.

They face a Stoke side on Monday evening who overcame them last season at the Britannia Stadium, and Mourinho anticipates a difficult game.

"Sometimes you play well and lose - other times you don't play so well and win. Last season we played well against Stoke but made two mistakes that cost us the game.

"We might be getting results but we have to go there and play our game. We know their qualities and will have to adapt to it."
