Celtic manager Ronny Deila confirms that he will sign players in January and will not let any of his stars leave.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila has outlined his plans for the January transfer window.
The Scottish Premiership champions have been linked with a number of players, while star defender Virgil van Dijk is reportedly on the radar of top Premier League clubs.
Deila has mentioned on a number of occasions that he wants to sign players to reinforce his squad so that they can win both the Premiership and the Europa League.
The 39-year-old Norwegian has reiterated his stance and has claimed that he will not let his best players leave in January.
“Our plans are advanced,” Celtic’s official website quotes Deila as saying. “We want to get the team better in this window and on February 1 we hope to have a better squad than we have today, but that means two things - one is that we need to keep the best players and the other is that we need get some players in that will make the squad and the team better.
“We’re not always in charge with transfers and it’s about what’s available. The most important thing is quality and we need quality players, and if we can buy them we’ll do that.”
Celtic are currently six points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
