Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Mario Balotelli ban

Liverpool supporters take to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the one-match ban imposed on striker Mario Balotelli.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been given a one-match ban by the Football Association for a controversial comment on social networking site Twitter.

The Italy international re-posted an image of computer game character Super Mario on Instagram which included the words "jumps like a black man and grabs coins like a Jew."

Balotelli apologised for the tweet and denied that it was meant to be offensive, but he has still been punished by the FA.

The 24-year-old has been suspended for Sunday’s Premier League game against Arsenal at Anfied and has been fined £25,000 as well.

The former Manchester City and AC Milan star will also attend an education course as part of his punishment.
