Tottenham latest, Bentaleb's belief, team news ahead of Burnley

A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Friday evening.

Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb believes the side is capable of qualifying for this season's Champions League, and has no reason to fear their Premier League rivals.

Spurs are currently four points off the Champions League places and suggested to the London Evening Standard that it's well within their grasp.

He said: “We don’t really fear anyone. We know that if we play at our best, we can cause a big problem to any team in the Premier League, to Chelsea or Manchester City.

“Can we finish in the top four? When you look, we are in December and we are still in the game. We are not far from it. It will all be played in the second part of the season and we have to keep on going this way.”

Emmanuel Adebayor is available for this weekend's clash with Burnley after returning to training according to Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino.

The striker has recently returned to training following a spell of compassionate leave, and is now available after missing their 4-0 win over Newcastle United in the League Cup.

Pochettino has also been highlighting areas where Kyle Walker needs to improve, after the defender returned from a long-term pelvis injury against Swansea City last weekend.

The Spurs boss said: “He needs to improve in different areas, tactical and physical, after a long time out. After a long time out it’s not easy for a player. We are happy to have him fit and the last couple of weeks he has worked very hard.

“We need to ensure he stays focused as he is not like a normal player who has gone through pre-season. He has not been training consistently and because of that, we need an individual plan for him.”
