Leeds's Alex Mowatt was in dazzling form over the month of November.
Leeds United prospect Alex Mowatt has received the Football League's Young Player of the Month award earlier this morning.
Mowatt earned the trophy after a run of excellent performances during the previous month, where he scored three goals in five matches.
The midfielder had actually been up for senior Player of the Month award, but lost out to Brentford's Andre Gray, and this was a good consolation.
"It’s a good feeling when you win things like this, you feel rewarded from how you’ve been playing and the things you’ve been doing," Mowatt told the club's official site.
"I didn’t know anything about it. I know I was up for the Championship Player of the Month but I didn’t get that. I wasn’t expecting this!"
Mowatt has been a key player under Neil Redfearn's tutelage so far and he will be hoping to continue to play a major part in Leeds' season as the campaign progresses.
