Palermo join race for Leeds United-linked Leonardo Pavoletti - report

Leeds Players Warm Up

Sassuolo striker Leonardo Pavoletti, who has been linked with Leeds United, is reportedly on the radar of Palermo.

Palermo are reportedly interested in signing Leonardo Pavoletti from fellow Italian club Sassuolo.

The 26-year-old has struggled for playing time so far this season, scoring just one goal in eight Serie A appearances.

However, Pavoletti’s impressive performance for Varese in Serie B last season appears to have made an impression on Palermo, who, according to GianlucaDiMarzio.com, are “looking for ways to improve their attack during the January transfer window.”

Leeds United have been linked with a move for the striker, with the Championship club’s sporting director Nicola Salerno claiming only this week that he is still interested in signing him.

There is a transfer embargo on Leeds, but the West Yorkshire outfit are able to sign players on loan, which is how they will be looking to recruit Pavoletti.
