Manchester United make transfer decision on Adnan Januzaj - Report

Manchester United are not considering loaning out Adnan Januzaj, contrary to previous reports.

Manchester United have decided against sending Adnan Januzaj out on loan.

The attacker has been on the fringes of the first team and speculation had been mounting he could be destined for a temporary January exit.

The Times report: "Senior officials at Old Trafford said yesterday that Van Gaal had no plans to loan out the Belgium winger next month.

"Real Sociedad and Inter Milan are among a clutch of clubs interested in taking Januzaj on loan until the end of the season, but Van Gaal has not discussed the prospect with the club’s hierarchy."

The Belgian has had somewhat of a downturn in fortunes upon last season, but in terms of his long-term development, Louis van Gaal may be making the right call not to rush him in and hand him too much responsibility, as David Moyes leaned on him so often last season.

With almost half the season gone, Januzaj has played less than a quarter of the total minutes he did in the Premier League alone last season.

Yet while he has not scored and provided any assists yet - in his limited game time in 2014/15 he has created just over a quarter of the amount of chances, showing that he is not doing anything too much differently to warrant being benched other than just having less fortune and being of a lower profile than some of his colleagues.

Van Gaal is right to stick with him, for if United are realistic about a title push - eventually this season he will have a telling impact, and given their bad luck with injuries so far, letting him go would be unwise.
