Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that forward Theo Walcott has returned to training.
The England international has been suffering with a groin problem of late, but he could be available for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
“There’s a slight chance of Monreal being available and a very slight chance for Walcott,” Wenger told Arsenal’s official website. “We hope that Oxlade-Chamberlain will be fit. We’ll see that on Saturday.
“He (Walcott) is back in training today. But only today. I might take him, I don’t know yet until he’s back to full training. Let’s see.
“That’s what we’ll see (about Oxlade-Chamberlain) on Saturday after a test. He’s not in training at the moment.”
Arsenal will head into Sunday’s match placed sixth in the Premier League table with 26 points from 16 matches, while Liverpool are currently 11th with 21 points.
