'That can't happen' - Mesut Ozil on Arsenal's biggest weakness

The injured midfielder is keen to stress the importance of the Gunners staying at their best at both ends of the pitch.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil believes his side's tendency to concede 'unnecessary goals' is their Achilles Heel.

Results have improved for the Gunners recently but Arsene Wenger's team have often lost leads due to careless, irresponsible defending - and Ozil is keen for that to stop.

Indeed, the Arsenal midfielder is wary of the quality of the Premier League, something that should force the north London side to work on their biggest flaw.

"When you watch the games, we’ve dominated a lot of them but have conceded unnecessary goals," Ozil told Arsenal Player.

"That can’t happen, because in the Premier League, every team is capable of beating one another.

"We have to get our points by playing the game our way… I’m convinced that we will finish the season near the top of the table."

Arsenal travel to Anfield to face Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon and are both five points and places above Brendan Rodgers' side in the table.
