Gareth Bale took to Twitter last night to compare his role to the one Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer used to play.
Bale had been playing for Real Madrid at the FIFA Club World Cup and he continued his recent habit of scoring headed goals during the contest.
The Welshman powered home Madrid's third goal of the night against Cruz Azul after meeting a Cristiano Ronaldo cross expertly.
Madrid went on to win the fixture 4-0 to put themselves in the final and extend their recent winning run to 21 games.
Bale, though, was keen to focus on his goal after the match and he clearly hasn't forgotten his British roots since moving to La Liga.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man may have been expecting to play with a more aesthetically pleasing brand of football in Spain, but he has still been able to showcase his heading ability in Madrid's fluid system.
It has led to him realising how Shearer, who was so dominant in aerial situations, felt as he powered home header after header.
Bale will be looking to continue his fine run of form on Sunday when Los Blancos take on either San Lorenzo or Auckland City.
