Manchester United defender Phil Jones has been singing the praises of teammate David de Gea.
Spain international goalkeeper De Gea has been in stunning form this season and is rated by many as the best in the Premier League.
On Sunday, the 24-year-old was once again the star of the show as United got the better of fierce rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
Although the Red Devils won the game 3-0, it was De Gea who was the best player on the pitch, making a number of sensational saves, most notably against Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli.
A number of United players have been praising the former Atletico Madrid star over the past couple of days or so, and Jones has now joined in.
“He is terrific to work with," 22-year-old Jones told United’s official website. "Off the field he is a great lad; he is very humble and quiet. On the pitch, we are lucky to have him.
“After coming to the club, he had a difficult spell in his first year. But even going through that, we saw the ability he had in training and some of the saves he makes are unbelievable. We have seen what he is like and throughout the season he has been a credit to himself.”
When asked if he ever doubted De Gea's quality in his difficult first season at Old Trafford, Jones said: "Not for me! He pulls out some unbelievable saves and in terms of positioning, he is fantastic as a goalkeeper.
“You know he is there and nine times out of 10, he is going to make the save for you. He is in the top three in the world for me."
United are currently third in the Premier League table with 31 points from 16 matches.
