'It won’t be much too much longer' - Mesut Ozil gives injury update

The Arsenal midfielder says he is on the comeback trail.

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil says it 'won't be too much longer' before he returns to the pitch for the Gunners.

The £42.4 million summer signing has been out injured for some time but has been on the comeback trail for a few weeks.

And the German midfielder is expecting to return to action for Arsenal imminently.

"After a time, you really miss playing football," Ozil told Arsenal Player. "You miss the ball and just want to play. When you watch the games and think that you could have been playing, and playing well, it makes you miss it. But that’s the way things are.

"I’m working every day to get myself fit and I’m on the right path now. It won’t be much too much longer before I’m back on the pitch. I hope to be back training with the whole team again as soon as possible."

Arsenal travel to Anfield to face Liverpool in the Premier League this Sunday afternoon.
