Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has picked out his favourite goal during his time at the Gunners.
The Frenchman has cited the strike against Leeds United in the FA Cup as his favourite, which came on his first game back at the Gunners in a loan spell from the New York Red Bulls.
“Look at the emotion, my emotion – you rarely saw me doing that. The celebration between myself and Arsène, that was genuine. You never saw me do that before,” said Henry of the effort.
The strike saw Henry at his typical best as he hovered on the shoulder of the Leeds defence before he found some space to produce a neat finish into the far corner, sparking wild celebrations.
The strike beats the superb goal he scored in the North London derby against Tottenham, where Henry left players for dead as he sprinted into Sours’ half and slotted home.
It also beats his flick and volley against Manchester United as well as his neat finish away at Real Madrid in a match that many expected Arsenal to lose heavily.
