Transfer Clock: Rabiot willing to join Tottenham; Newcastle, Sunderland eye deals

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Newcastle, Sunderland, and Sheffield Wednesday feature.

15 Days until the transfer window opens. Here's the latest you need to know...

- Rabiot to Spurs?

Tottenham continue to be linked with signing French midfielder Adrien Rabiot. Le10Sport report PSG and Spurs are in negotiations over the 19-year-old. He has barely featured for the French side this season, and they claim he is 'willing to join' Tottenham. Rabiot had previously been linked with Roma and Arsenal, but reports earlier in December suggested it was Spurs in pole position. Tottenham reportedly want the defensive midfielder on loan until the end of the season, but PSG are insisting they pay his wages in full.

- Newcastle want Al-Habsi

Newcastle United want to sign Wigan's Ali Al-Habsi on loan, report The Mail. They are hoping the Premier League will back down and allow them to bring in a goalkeeper on an emergency loan, having refused an earlier request. The 32-year-old has made only one Championship appearance for the Latics this season.

- Sunderland eye Ings

Newcastle were previously linked with Danny Ings of Burnley, but a report in The Star claims rivals Sunderland want to beat them to his signature. Ings' contract expires at the end of the season, and whether he renews at Turf Moor is likely to depend on their battle with relegation.

- Morais to Sheffield Wednesday?

Sheffield Wednesday are interested in signing Nuno Morais of Bradford City, report The Mail. Morais was once signed by Jose Mourinho at Chelsea and is now 29. His contract expires next month as he only signed a short-term deal and while the Bantams want to renew, interest from the Owls who are in the Championship could turn his head.

- Madrid's Lucas Silva knockback

Real Madrid have had a second offer for Lucas Silva rejected, according to reports on the continent. Brazilian side Cruzeiro want €15 million for his signature, but the La Liga side's two offers are yet to meet that mark. Arsenal are widely reported to hold their own interest in the promising midfielder.
