Reported Manchester United target Kevin Strootman is already looking ahead to February with his current club AS Roma.

Reported Manchester United target Kevin Strootman has given a huge indication that he will not be moving anywhere this season.

The Netherlands international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford since long before Louis van Gaal took charge at United, but since the former Holland coach arrived those rumours have gone into overdrive.

There have been some suggestions that Strootman would move on in January while others claim he will make a switch in the summer, but whatever the future holds, United look unlikely to have Strootman in their ranks for the second half of this campaign.

The midfielder took to his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon to express his excitement at AS Roma’s upcoming Europa League matches against Feyenoord.

“I’m really looking forward to play the two matches against Feyenoord in February,” the alleged United target wrote.

“They are a young and talented team and are playing well. In a difficult group they have managed to qualify as group winners which sums it all up.”

So it appears the 24-year-old has no intention of swapping Italy for England next month, no matter what the papers may say.

But do not expect that to stop the rumours from circulating regardless, with Strootman exactly the type of player United are crying out for.
