Anderson Talisca has been touted as a starter for Brazil after recent reports linked him with both Liverpool and Arsenal.

Reported Liverpool and Arsenal target Anderson Talisca would be the perfect strike partner for his countryman Neymar according to sport journalist and commentator Wagner Vilaron.

Talisca currently plays for Benfica, where he has scored eight goals in 13 league matches this season and nine in all competitions.

The 20-year-old Brazilian’s blistering start to the campaign saw him linked with a whole host of clubs, with both Liverpool and Arsenal said to be scouting him.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger was even said to have sent an emissary to watch the player regularly as he considered a potential bid. But with his release-clause now reportedly upped from £18million to £35million based on his recent form, he will not come cheap.

In comments published by Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Vilaraon was quoted as saying, “I see (Talisca alongside Neymar) and without exaggeration.

“Recently I was with Gallo (who is in charge of the Brazilian youth team) and he has followed Talisca. His performances are not a surprise.”

So it appears a player said to be attracting the interest of both Arsenal and Liverpool could soon be partnering one of the best in the world for his country. And if he really is that good, expect the queue for his services to stretch further with each new performance.

Arsenal do not currently need him considering the presence of Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck, but Liverpool are in need of quality front-men.

The question is: Would Talisca be a risk worth taking?
