Manchester United may have won 3-0 against Liverpool at the weekend but a player eager to impress Louis van Gaal also had a match to remember.
Wilfried Zaha has begun to show some consistency for loan club Crystal Palace in recent weeks, following up his fine performance against Tottenham Hotspur with another outing this time against Stoke City on Saturday.
And the on-loan United winger topped the charts in one note-worthy area, recording the top speed of any player in England’s top flight at the weekend.
As reported by the Premier League’s official website, Zaha’s top speed was 35.2 kilometres-per-hour against Mark Hughes’ men. Now he just needs to start adding goals to his lightening bursts forward.
The former Ajax player is currently recovering from a knee injury so he was not present at the gala to collect the award, so instead his father Danny Blind claimed it on his behalf.
Blind has yet to really get going at United but at his best he is an outstanding midfielder and he could go on to claim more individual honours in the campaigns to come.
