The pressure on Liverpool marksman Mario Balotelli continues to grow and former teammate Adel Taarabt has added to the critical voices.
Taarabt played alongside Balotelli when he was on loan at AC Milan from QPR for the second half of last season.
The Moroccan midfielder was unexpectedly successful at San Siro and nearly earned a permanent switch, but he ended up leaving Milan shortly before Super Mario set off for Liverpool.
"Everyone told me that Mario was very good, then I played alongside him and he was good but he didn't seem like a world class player."
Balotelli hasn't looked world class since joining Liverpool for £16 million in the summer, but he was very close to finding the net against Manchester United only to be denied by a superb David De Gea and the crossbar.
Meanwhile Taarabt has admitted that he would love to return to Milan and play in Serie A once more having become a peripheral figure in Harry Redknapp's plans.
