BNP Paribas Securities Services hires within client development

BNP Paribas Securities Services, a leading global custodian with $8.7tril in assets under custody, has announced two senior appointments within its client development team in Zurich.

Corinne Vitte is appointed as Head of sales for institutional investors. She will report to Garrick Smith, Head of BNP Paribas Securities Services Switzerland. Corinne has more than 20 years’ industry experience. She was previously a relationship manager at RBC Investor & Treasury Services and prior to this held various senior positions at Citi looking after institutional clients.

Dario Rigert is appointed as Sales manager for institutional investors, reporting to Corinne. He joins from JP Morgan Investor Services where he worked as a relationship and client sales manager for institutional clients.

“I am delighted to welcome Corinne and Dario to the team”, commented Garrick Smith. “Both of them have in-depth knowledge of the Swiss market and will help us develop our business in the country. 2015 will be a crucial year for us and for the asset management industry in Switzerland, as we implement a wave of new regulation, such as EMIR. We have ambitious plans to grow our business and serve the local market in the year ahead.”

In early 2014, BNP Paribas Securities Services announced the expansion of its service offering in Switzerland with the launch of depositary banking. The bank offers custody and asset servicing to market participants in Switzerland, including leading asset owners, asset managers, banks and broker dealers.

It was ranked “Top Rated” in Switzerland in Global Custodian magazine’s Agent Banks in Major Markets survey.
