Joao Moutinho has ruled out leaving AS Monaco in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old Portugal international midfielder has been linked with North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
“All players are criticised,” London24.com quotes the 28-year-old as telling L’Equipe. “But if you want to progress, you have to know how to move past that.
“I am in a very good period and I hope that it will last, if I can keep up my rhythm, then great. We have just had three wins in a row, which gives everyone confidence, myself included.
“I am not thinking about the January window, nor am I thinking about the end of the season. I don’t want anything to do with that. I am focused on Monaco.”
Moutinho is one of the best midfielders in Europe and has been a success at Monaco since his big-money move from FC Porto in the summer of 2013.
The Portuguese was key in Monaco finishing second in Ligue 1 last season., but results are not going so well this campaign.
Monaco are stranded in sixth place in the league table, nine points behind leaders Marseille, with Moutinho scoring two goals and creating 32 chances in 17 appearances.
As good as Moutinho is, he is someone who is not needed by either Arsenal or Tottenham. The Gunners do not require another midfielder, while Spurs are unlikely to be too tempting for him given that they cannot provide him with Champions League football.
