Arsenal morning news: Flamini's Gunners belief, Silva confirms approach over return

A round up of news stories this morning about Arsenal.

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini says there is real belief in the team that they can achieve something this season.

Arsenal have just been drawn against Monaco in the last 16 of the Champions League.

“It's the belief of the team that we can really achieve something, and I think you [media] guys agree as well that we have top quality,” said the Frenchman.

Gilberto Silva has revealed that he was asked to return to Arsenal as a coach.

The Brazilian hasn’t ruled out a return to the Gunners in some capacity in the future.

“Anything is possible, it makes me happy when you have these invitations, people see you with a different profile, you can contribute,” he told Globo Esporte.

Reports suggest Arsene Wenger is considering a double raid on Serie A sides Roma and Napoli.

Arsenal are thought to be interested in signing Roma’s forward Mattia Destro and Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik.

Destro has been linked with a move to Arsenal for several weeks.
