The first trailer for GTA Online's heists missions has been revealed. In an interview between IGN and Rockstar Games' GTA Online producer and lead mission designer Imran Sarwar, they spoke about the long-awaited mode.
Unfortunately there's still no official release date for heists, but Sarwar states that they are "getting close and Heists will be ready early in 2015."
Take a look at the new trailer below, and let out a slight sigh of relief.
In the IGN interview with Sarwar revealed many details about the new mode. Initially asked why it's taken so long to bring the new mode together, Sarwar stated that "To be honest, they just turned out to be a lot more difficult than we originally thought".
Heists will feature a 'four-player structure' and players must be rank 12 or above to play, with one player being the heist leader. The leader needs to own a high-end apartment too, so you can't take the lead if you're still slumming it in one of those tiny garages.
Leaders will be contacted by Lester directly, and they will invite other players to join them to complete jobs. They will also assign roles to the crew members, pick outfits, and even distribute the cut of the loot. Oh, and the leader fronts the cost of setting up the heist too.
Like in the single player mode you'll work up to hitting the big score heist by first doing prep missions and using your planning board.
