Arsenal's players and fans appear happy with the Champions League draw against Monaco.
Arsenal have finally got a favourable draw in the Champions League knockout phases.
In recent seasons the Gunners have had to deal with one of Barcelona or Bayern Munich, and an exception being when they were beaten by AC Milan.
This time around they have landed a tie against AS Monaco, which is about as good as they could have hoped for taking into account they finished second in the group.
In fact their late meltdown against Anderlecht could have worked in their favour - Borussia Dortmund's 'reward' for finishing first was drawing Italian champions Juventus.
Monaco! I'm sure our fans will enjoy the away trip... great place, great draw! #ChampionsLeague— Aaron Ramsey (@aaronramsey) December 15, 2014
Arsenal played Monaco in pre-season in the Emirates Cup, losing 1-0, but the goalscorer that day Radamel Falcao is currently on loan at Manchester United.
They are currently in sixth place in the Ligue 1 table, nine points back on leaders Marseille, and face an uphill struggle to emulate their top two finish of a year ago.
There are a few old faces Arsenal will recognise too, including top scorer Dimitar Berbatov, and former Chelsea centre-back Ricardo Carvalho.
The draw certainly seemed to make Arsenal fans happy - Here's a look at how they reacted...
