A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester City.

Manchester City have reportedly entered the race to try and sign Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund.

The German centre back has already been strongly linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal.

Reports suggest he could cost somewhere in the region of £47 million.

Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna has implied he’s desperate for Frank Lampard to stay at the club.

There’s doubt over whether Lampard will extend a loan deal from City’s sister club New York City.

“He's a great guy and he's fitted in perfectly. He showed here that he can score important goals, he's a great player. He's a quick-moving player. To play against these types is so difficult,” said the Frenchman.

NYC director Claydio Reyna is in Manchester to sort out the issue of Lampard’s immediate future.

Reyna has been pictured in Manchester and told mlssoccer.com that he’s under orders to end the speculation one way or another.
