Frank de Boer would 'certainly think about' taking over at Liverpool

The Ajax boss would definitely give managing the Reds some thought, according to his brother Ronald.

Ronald de Boer admits his brother Frank would 'certainly think about' becoming Liverpool boss were he approached by the Anfield giants.

Liverpool are currently struggling in the Premier League this season, having also been knocked out of the Champions League after amassing just one win from six group-stage games.

And manager Brendan Rodgers has hardly covered himself in glory. His performance in terms of team selection, tactics, press conferences and in the transfer market has left an awful lot to be desired.

As such, should Liverpool contact De Boer about replacing the Northern Irishman, he would definitely consider it, according to brother Ronald - although the club may have to wait until the end of the season to prise the Dutchman away from Ajax.

“Not yet, especially in the winter, but at the end of the season he surely could," De Boer (Ronald) is quoted as telling Fox Sports by Football Oranje.

“It's a nice club. If Liverpool come now he would certainly think about it. He would certainly not close the door immediately, like he did two years ago.”
