To make up for Assassin's Creed: Unity’s shaky launch those that bought the game’s season pass will be able to download a free Ubisoft title
Assassin’s Creed’s latest new-gen outing launched last month with numerous technical issues that Ubisoft are still working to fix. As a result, the developer announced two weeks after its release that the Assassin’s Creed: Unity season pass was to be discontinued and all owners of the game were to receive free compensation.
Now all owners of Unity will be able to download the Assassin's Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC add-on for free, while those that paid up front for a season pass will also get a game on the house from Ubisoft.
In a recent post online the developer has announced that the free games up for grabs will be available this week. "You will be able to connect to a dedicated website to log in and select the free game of your choice," Ubisoft explained. "The free game has to be on the same platform as your Assassin's Creed Unity copy."
The free games on offer are: The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends and Just Dance 2015.
A guide on how to claim your free game will be posted online over the next few days. The titles on offer will be limited to one per person and must be claimed before 15th March 2015.
A new patch for Unity on all platforms is due today which Ubisoft hopes will resolve most of the ongoing problems still faced by players.
