Tottenham morning update: Early team news; player ‘proud to play for Spurs’

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium later today.

Just one point separates the two sides in the table and both clubs will want to keep in touch with the chasing pack in terms of European places.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Kyle Walker could feature having finally overcome his injury problems but forward Emmanuel Adebayor is out for personal reasons.

Swansea will have to make do without suspended goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski while Tom Carroll canot play against his parent-club.

Neil Taylor is back however after a one-match ban.

In other news, Tottenham ‘keeper Michel Vorm has been speaking ahead of the encounter with his former club.

In an interview with FourFourTwo the Dutchman said, “I took my decision to leave and I am proud to play for Tottenham.”

Vorm has had to wait patiently for his chances, featuring just four appearances this season and none in the Premier League.

But the 31-year-old appears happy with his choice and he aims to keep current number one Hugo Lloris on his toes for the remainder of the campaign.
