Roberto Soldado has had his fair share of criticism since joining Tottenham. In fact, the Spaniard has suffered most people's fair share of criticism.
But the 29-year-old striker, to his credit, has kept persisting, kept trying to salvage something of his Premier League career.
During Spurs' 2-1 win against Everton, Soldado appeared to have made a breakthrough. Was it a definitive one? Probably not, because he was back to his usual ways this week when Besiktas beat Tottenham 1-0 in Istanbul.
Soldado, however, remains confident - and thinks Tottenham's style of play suits him '100 per cent.'
"When you have a lot of good players around you, you can only play better," Soldado said recently.
"And I think this style of playing suits me 100 per cent. I just need to take advantage of the great players I have got playing around me."
January is likely to be a key month for the Spaniard, as one cannot foresee anything but a busy January transfer window for Spurs.
