Paul Mitchell’s first Spurs scouting mission: Andrej Kramaric reportedly watched

White Hart Lane 4

Andrej Kramaric was reportedly scouted by new Tottenham Hotspur man Paul Mitchell last week.

Tottenham Hotspur’s new head of recruitment Paul Mitchell reportedly went on his first scouting mission in his new role last week.

The Daily Mirror claims Mitchell – who recently swapped Southampton for Spurs – was in the crowd to watch Rijeka play Sevilla with one specific target in mind.

Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric has been making headlines all season, with his goal-scoring record for the campaign currently standing at 28 goals in 29 matches.

The 23-year-old is hot property and Tottenham are just one of a number of clubs to have been linked with him in recent weeks.

Leicester City reportedly had an offer rejected for Kramaric earlier this month, with his current club all too aware of his value despite the fact his current contract expires in the summer.

For that reason he is almost certain to leave in January, and Mitchell reportedly ran the rule over him on Thursday with a view to making a bid for the £8million-rated player who could now go for considerably more than that.
