Manchester United great Phil Neville asked if Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers should be sacked

Phil Neville looks ahead to Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford this afternoon.

Phil Neville has backed Manchester United to defeat Liverpool in the Premier League today.

The Red Devils will host the Merseyside outfit at Old Trafford and will be looking to make it six wins in a row in the league.

United have not played exceptionally well in that run, but they have got the job done and have improved defensively, too.

Neville, a former United star, predicts Louis van Gaal’s side to pick up all three points from the Premier League today.

A defeat at Old Trafford is going to increase the pressure on Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who has come under fire in recent weeks.

With the Reds out of the Champions League and struggling for a top-four position in the Premier League, there have been calls for the Northern Irishman to be sacked.

However, Neville, who also featured for Everton in his playing career, believes that Rodgers needs to be given time.

United will head into tonight’s encounter placed third in the Premier League table with 28 points from 15 matches, while Liverpool are ninth with 21 points.
