Louis van Gaal refuses to give timescale on Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo's injury

Rojo, Burdisso and Di Maria Argentina

The Argentine defender missed today's 3-0 win against Liverpool.

Manchester United defeated Liverpool today 3-0, despite having to make some last minute changes to their side.

The club have had some serious problems with injuries this term, in particular in the defensive department. But things are getting better. This week they welcomed back Jonny Evans and Phil Jones to first-team action. But Jones had to start today's game after Marcos Rojo did not make the line-up.

Before the game Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal confirmed that the Argentine was injured, telling MUTV:

"He felt something yesterday. It happened yesterday so we will have to wait and see. I don't think it's healthy but I am not a doctor."

However he was not willing to give too much away, as when Daley Blind picked up his knee injury in November it was erroneously reported the midfielder would be out for six months after a mistake on the Manchester United Twitter feed:

"Two or three weeks ago there was a misunderstanding here so it's better to say nothing about the injury."

It certainly does not sound too serious and the return of Jones, Evans allied with the form of Michael Carrick at the back certainly means Manchester United won't struggle without him for now.

But the injury list just keeps piling up for their season.
