Lord Sugar reacts to Newcastle United’s defeat to Arsenal in Premier League

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has his say on Newcastle United’s 4-1 loss at Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday.

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar believes that Newcastle United got ‘lucky’ in their past few games prior to facing Arsenal on Saturday.

The 67-year-old made the comment during the Magpies’ 4-1 defeat to the Gunners in the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Lord Sugar also repeated the phrase he had earlier used to describe Newcastle manager Alan Pardew: ‘big head’.

It seems that Lord Sugar does not rate Pardew as a manager, but that does not take away the truly brilliant work he has done in recent weeks.

Earlier in the season, the Newcastle fans wanted the 53-year-old to be sacked, but since mid-October, the Magpies have started to pick up points.

The defeat to Arsenal on Saturday was a stark reminder to Newcastle that things are not going to be rosy and that they are quite a way behind the Premier League’s top teams, but one still needs to respect and appreciate the work done by Pardew over the past month or two.
