Islam Feruz has now had two loan deals this season cut short early.

It has certainly been an interesting season for Islam Feruz.

The Scottish youth international joined Russian second division side Krylia Sovetov on loan this summer. The deal was definitely done. He was even snapped in his new club's training gear.

But the striker, who has been compared to Brazilian legend Romario in the past, was back in London just two days later after cancelling his deal within 24 hours saying he was not yet ready for such a 'dramatic change in his life'.

On transfer deadline day he did finally go out on loan, joining Greek Premier League side OFI Crete. The Greek strugglers, currently managed by Gennaro Gattuso, were more than happy to bring in the former Celtic youngster.

But it would appear that his season long deal at the club has come to an end.

He scored this excellent volley for Chelsea's under-21s against Wolves earlier in the week, showing off his technique with a smashing finish.

He was on the bench for the club when they faced PAS Giannina on the 30th November, but was not in the squad for today's game with Panionis and is not listed on their 'roster' on their official website.

No official confirmation of his return exists but it seems yet another loan deal has flopped for the player, who is likely to be on the move from Chelsea once again In January.
