Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has insisted that he and his teammates always want to win games.
The Denmark international made the comments following Spurs’ narrow 2-1 victory over Swansea City away from home in the Premier League on Sunday.
Harry Kane put Tottenham ahead as early as the fourth minute, but Wilfried Bony restored parity in the opening minutes of the second half.
However, the North London outfit did not give up and scored the winner through Eriksen in the 89th minute.
"We are a team which doesn't settle for a point,” BBC Sport quotes the 22-year-old as saying. “Swansea had the better chances in the second half and created the most but we are happy because we scored in the 90th minute."
Kane, who was adjudged the man of the match, added: "We wanted to come out of the blocks flying and it was great to put the ball into the back of the net and give us a good start.
“It's an important three points and hopefully we can build some momentum over Christmas now."
The win has lifted Tottenham up to seventh in the Premier League table with 24 points from 16 matches, four points behind fourth-placed West Ham United.
