Chelsea defeated Hull City 2-0 at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
After defeat to Newcastle United in their last Premier League outing Chelsea wanted to get back to winning ways this weekend with the visit of Hull City to Stamford Bridge,
It was certainly not a vintage Chelsea performance but they did end up taking the three points home from a rough game against the Tigers in West London.
It was Eden Hazard to the rescue for Chelsea. The Belgian scored the first goal, heading home a wonderful delivery from Oscar on the left hand side.
Hazard was not done there. The midfield maestro went on to score number two, securing victory for Chelsea after Tom Huddlestone had been sent off for a challenge on Filipe Luis, who was getting a rare Premier League start.
It was certainly not Chelsea at their best but it was still an important three points from the Blues against dogged opposition.
