Celtic's Ronny Deila makes key revelation about January transfer plans

Celtic Champions League

The Norwegian has been discussing what would be 'best' for the SPL champions.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila admits it would be 'best' for the Bhoys to sign players from Scotland during the January transfer window.

The Norwegian says he is looking at potential loan signings, targeting two to three new faces at Celtic Park.

But the ideal criteria Deila is looking to meet is talent already plying their trade within Scottish football.

“We’re also looking at players in Scotland. That would be best for us, to get players from Scotland," the Celtic boss told reporters.

The Norwegian continued: “We know who we want on board, we have a list of players. We’re trying to sort them out now, in terms of what is available and what is the best option for us.

“It’s hard to say how many I’d like. But two or three players coming in would be good. If we can do that, I’d be happy. But, again, it’s about making sure they’re of the quality we want.

“It could be loans again but they would include an option to buy, so we could get the player afterwards.”
