Celtic manager Ronny Deila says that John Guidetti and James Forrest could not finish the Scottish Premiership game against St. Mirren due to fitness concerns.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has allayed fears over the fitness of John Guidetti and James Forrest.

Both the forwards started the Scottish Premiership clash against St Mirren at Celtic Park on Sunday, but neither could last the 90 minutes.

While Scotland international Forrest came off at half time, on-loan Manchester City youngster Guidetti was substituted just before the hour mark.

After the match, Deila explained his decision to take off the two forwards.

Celtic won the encounter 4-1, thanks to a brace from Scott Brown and a goal apiece from Forrest and Anthony Stokes, but Deila wanted his side to score more.

The win means that Celtic are now six points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
