One may argue that Ross McCormack enjoyed the perfect return to Elland Road on Saturday afternoon. The ex-Leeds United striker captained Fulham to a 1-0 win against his former club, giving them a vital jolt up the Championship table.
In truth, though, the 28-year-old probably suffered mixed feelings to say the least. McCormack would have been disappointed to see Neil Redfearn's men fold so easily against Kit Symons' visitors, while he had to deal with some boos from Leeds fans, at the same time.
To his credit, McCormack applauded the home faithful at full-time, regardless of how some of them had treated him throughout the game. And, as the above photo shows, he even went into the Leeds stands at one point to retrieve a through ball.
The rest of the images from Elland Road on Saturday all painted a similar picture. Whenever the likes of Adryan or Souleymane Doukara had the ball, they were closed down and blocked by an admirably resilient Fulham defence. The Cottagers are now up to 14h in the Championship, Leeds down to 19th.
