The Newcastle boss is delighted with the right-back's form since arriving on Tyneside.
The Frenchman left Newcastle for Arsenal over the summer but has been replaced by Dutchman Daryl Janmaat.
And Pardew is delighted with Janmaat's 'seamless' transition to life in Newcastle.
“We have been very fortunate that Janmaat has been seamless,” Pardew is quoted as saying by the Shields Gazette.
“That’s no disrespect to Debuchy, he’s a great player. It [the signing of Janmaat] has worked well – they don’t always.”
The Newcastle boss does admit, however, that he would have loved to keep the Arsenal defender at St James' Park. Debuchy will make his first Premier League appearance against the Magpies when Pardew's side travel to the Emirates Stadium during today's late kick-off.
He added: “We loved him here. He was a great personality and a great player. The financial part of that deal was the reason we lost him – there’s no doubt about that – because I would have loved to keep him.”
