The Argentine defender has high praise for his team-mate Angel Di Maria.
This summer Manchester United had to rebuild their squad after a woeful campaign under David Moyes. In doing so they decided to go a little bit Argentine.
Louis van Gaal snapped up Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid for a club record fee of £59.7 million and they also signed, after a transfer saga, Marcos Rojo from Sporting Lisbon for £16 million.
The pair are now major parts of the United machine and obviously having each other for company helps.
In an interview this week Rojo has been talking about how he and Di Maria are settling in at the club, including their English lessons.
"The level is very high. There is no doubt in my mind that it’s the best league in the world. It’s very tight, they’re all difficult games. There is not much of a great difference between any of the teams. I think I’m adapting to it very well. I hope to continue improving and giving the best I can. Angel has also started very well. He’s a great player and he can be the difference for us in every game he plays.
"I think we just need to carry on doing what we're doing. We could hopefully finish fourth but there’s no reason why we couldn't finish top as well. I think the important thing is to keep going right until the end and give everything you can until the end of the season, and then see where we stand."
Unfortunately for Manchester United Di Maria is going to be absent for a game they would like him to be the difference in this week. Di Maria will miss Manchester United's game with Liverpool at the weekend with a niggling hamstring injury.
