Chelsea missed out on the chance of becoming the new Invincibles when they lost to Newcastle United last weekend, but Jose Mourinho’s side will want to get back to winning ways as soon as possible, knowing just how tough the festive period will be for all concerned.
Chelsea are currently three points clear at the top of the Premier League table, the former runaway leaders reined in somewhat in recent weeks, but could Hull do the unthinkable and beat them in their own backyard?
Steve Bruce’s side is currently 18th in the table, with just 13 points form their first 15 matches, and despite some very impressive summer additions they continue to struggle.
Not that Chelsea will be underestimating a side that has not won a meeting with Chelsea since 1988.
