Can Luis become the first-choice left-back at Chelsea?
Chelsea snapped up Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis this summer from Atletico Madrid as a replacement for Ashley Cole, who had left on a free transfer to join AS Roma.
However he has had to wait patiently for his opportunities in the Chelsea first-team, with Jose Mourinho still enjoying the right-back Cesar Azpilicueta's performances in an unusual position.
Today however, with the busy festive season ahead of them, Jose Mourinho decided to give him a start, his second in a row.
Chelsea fans have been calling for him to play more for a few weeks now after being impressed with his fleeting performances at Stamford Bridge.
They also wanted to see a more attacking option at left-back to get forward with Eden Hazard and the Brazilian performed well.
He was cute on the touch and enjoyed going forward and a challenge on him from Tom Huddlestone saw the Hull man sent off and effectively ended the game as a contest as a below-par Chelsea performance.
And the majority of Chelsea fans were pleased to see him in action and felt he had a good game.
Here is some of the reaction from Twitter...
