Chelsea defeated Hull City 2-0 at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
Chelsea got back to winning ways this weekend as they overcame Hull City 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Jose Mourinho's side had seen their lead at the top of the Premier League cut to just three points after they lost to Newcastle United last time out, but Chelsea ensured they defeated Steve Bruce's side courtesy of goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.
The Belgian international gave Chelsea the lead in the seventh minute, scoring with his head rather than with his sublime feet, and summer signing Costa put the game to bed with just over 20 minutes of normal-time to play.
Hull had midfielder Tom Huddlestone sent off for a challenge on left-back Filipe Luis and that ensured Chelsea could ultimately double their advantage and record a relatively easy victory when not at their best.
