Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has plenty of options as he mulls over who to target in January.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has a very large squad at his disposal, but the club have been linked with a number of potential January signings.
Spurs could use new players in one or two positions, with decent resources and Europa League football to offer over the second half of the campaign.
Here are five of the best players linked with Tottenham Hotspur moves from this week.
Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)
The French midfielder is a player Pochettino has tried to buy repeatedly. However, Saints boss Ronald Koeman has just ruled out a winter move.
Christoph Kramer (Bayer Leverkusen)
The German is reported to be one of Tottenham’s main transfer targets, though he’s recently said he seems himself at Leverkusen next summer.
Hector Moreno (Espanyol)
One of the more likely players to sign. He has a good relationship with Pochettino from their days in La Liga and would inject more experience into defence.
Saido Berahino (West Bromwich Albion)
This is a long running rumour, with Tottenham still mentioned in reports about his future. He’d be a cracking buy but £24 million is a huge price.
Sime Vrsaljko (Sassuolo)
The Croatian youngster would be a £3 million gamble for Spurs, but they face competition for him from Serie A giants Juventus.
