A "Dragon Edition" is heading to China next year, following its initial launch.
Sony's flagship consoles are heading to the region, following Xbox One's recent launch after a 12 year ban on consoles.
Engadget reports that the PS4 will cost 2,899 yuan (approx £300) and the PS Vita will come in at 1,299 yuan (approx £135). When the Xbox One launched in September it was priced at 3,699 yuna (approx £380).
During China's 12 year ban on consoles it was still quite easy to obtain them on the 'gray market'. But Sony hopes to provide "exciting software, convenient services and entertainment experiences only possible on PlayStation to the many gamers in China."
Pending government approval, games such as Final Fantasy X and Lehman Legend will be sold in the country.
To begin with Sony are to offer black and white versions of the consoles, with the launch of a "Dragon Edition" arriving later on.
