Everton player ratings vs Krasnodar: Robles poor, Garbutt stands-out

We rate the Everton players' performances during their 1-0 defeat to FC Kransnodar in the Europa League.

Joel Robles - 4

If this was a chance for Joel to show Roberto Martinez that he was ready for a place in Everton's first-team then he didn't take it. The Spaniard has been Tim Howard's understudy for some time at Goodison Park and he looks set to remain on the substitutes' bench after this display. His error gave Krasnodar the goal they needed to pick up the victory.

Tyias Browning - 7

The youngster continues to impress whenever seen in the senior side. Pacey and powerful, he seems to have all the characteristics of an excellent modern-day full-back.

Antonin Alcarez - 6

A solid enough performance from the defender, who was one of the more experienced members of the Everton side.

Gareth Barry - 7

Looked comfortable, even at the heart of the defence. Still tried to dictate the play and was impressive with his positioning in an unfamiliar position.

Luke Garbutt - 7

Roberto Martinez praised the youngster's arrogance after the game and it was easy to see why. Never afraid to carry the ball forward, Garbutt was arguably the most impressive of all the Toffees' prospects who played.

Christian Atsu - N/A

Went off too early, with injury, to be graded for his performance. A disappointing blow for the Chelsea loanee who is looking to break into the team.

Bryan Oviedo - 5

Still coming back from a lengthy injury and he wasn't at his sharpest during the contest.

Ryan Ledson - 6

A player who is tipped to be the next big thing on Merseyside, he did a decent job in the middle of the park yesterday. Didn't look overawed by his surroundings and Martinez will be encouraged by his showing.

Steven Pienaar - 7

A decent performance from the South African international. Led by example after being handed the armband.

Conor McAleny - 6

His inexperience showed. Although there were moments of promise, there were also some errors on display and he will need to refine his play before becoming a first-team regular.

Arouna Kone - 6

A spritely display from the forward, even if he is not fully match-sharp. Had a number of efforts on goal.

Kieran Dowell - 5

Came on for Atsu in the early stages, but was fairly quiet throughout.
