Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has been speaking about his target for this season.
The Colombia international has yet to hit top form largely due to injuries, but he is confident that the United fans will now start to see his true self.
“Well, I always want to improve on my haul from the previous season,” Falcao told Inside United when asked about his targets this season. “That is the personal goal I set myself.
“To do that, I need to train well and train in the right way and I am pleased to say that all is going well at the moment.
"That’s the way I do it. I don’t set a specific number as a target, I just try to improve on last year’s tally.”
Falcao, a summer signing from AS Monaco on a season-long loan deal, has scored just one goal and created four chances in seven Premier League appearances so far this campaign.
The former Atletico Madrid star is a genuine world-class striker, and having returned to full fitness he will be raring to start scoring goals like he did in seasons past.
The 28-year-old suffered a long-term injury in January which saw him miss out on the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in the summer.
There have been some suggestions that Falcao will never get back to his best due to that knee injury, but the former FC Porto man seems confident of proving his detractors wrong.
Falcao is likely to feature for United against Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday, and he will certainly be determined to score.
Liverpool have been warned.
